It is important for children to know with their food. Therefore, BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Simprug together with True Aussie Beef, held a seminar and Australian Beef Junior Competition for 3rd and 4th grade students on Wednesday (10/9).
175 students were enthusiastic to learn about beef, especially the benefit of its nutrition and how to process it. The event also had a cooking demo and cooking competition. Chef Vania Wibisono explained that international schools have already trained students’ creativity in choosing food. Therefore, BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL held this event in order to train the creativity of its students.
The participants of the cooking competition were asked to make Beef Cheeseballs with Tomato Sauce using their own creativity. The competition sought to find top 3 winners out of 11 groups, in which the first winner will join 24 other schools in a massive competition. Through this event, BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Simprug and True Aussie Beef hoped that students would understand the importance of beef as well as how to cook it properly, while at the same time improving their motoric.
