Realizing the movie\u2019s deep moral message, BINUS SCHOOL Simprug produced a play based on the same story of The Lorax<\/em>. This play was performed by grade 4 students of primary school. This production can be considered an excellence in performing arts which is practicable for all BINUS SCHOOL Simprug\u2019s students. It was certainly quite a challenge for these young students to perform before so many people, but each of the grade 4 EL students played their roles perfectly and remarkably. They confidently acted before hundreds of viewers which happened to be their juniors.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n The play itself unfolded a story of life in the city controlled under a corporation. Planting trees was prohibited, until one day, a boy found out that something is wrong with his hometown. His obsession was to have a genuine tree, not the artificial one made of plastic. He was then introduced to Lorax, a creature who was determined to preserve nature. Finally, the boy could manage to get tree seeds which he finally planted for the sake of a conserved nature. The story taught students to love environment and not to destroy nature only for satistifaction of our greed. Beside this invaluable message of love for environment, the play also taught self-confidence, perseverance in study, and discipline during the process of learning the role. Numerous valuable lessons could be found from such a simple musical drama, both viewers and actors learnt very useful lessons.
