IYLF 2012 was attended by representatives of schools from a number of different countries, such as Suzhou Foreign School (China), Hwa Chong Institution (Singapore), Bugil Academy (Korea), BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Serpong and Simprug (Indonesia) and Brisbane Grammar School (Australia).

In IYLF 2012, China sent 8 students, Singapore sent 8 students, Korea sent 7 students, Indonesia sent 8 students and Australia sent 5 students. The event was officially opened on September 10, 2012 at BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Simprug by Peter Matthew Saidi (Principal of BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Simprug) as the Head Committee accompanied by Sherrie Garcia (Principal of BINUS INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL Serpong).

During the event, delegations discussed these topics in seminars, discussions, field trips and culture festivals. “With this forum, hopefully the delegations are able to expand their network, develop their leadership skills, and improve their social-cultural awareness so they can be agents of hope on their own countries,” explained Peter.
