BINUS SCHOOL SIMPRUG DOES A SCHOOL TRIP THROUGH PERTH IMMERSION PROGRAM
Going on a school trip is always fun for children. To experience something firsthand will always be memorable for them. Therefore, BINUS SCHOOL Simprug takes its Elementary students of (EL) grade 4 and 5 to join Perth immersion program. Through this program, students feel a different way of learning than learning in class, by directly experiencing new culture and new communities in other countries.
Immersion is an annual program of BINUS SCHOOL Simprug that takes students on school trip. While the previous Immersions were in China and Japan, this year the school had it in Perth, Australia. The Perth immersion program started on March 22 to 27 with 29 grade 4 and 5 EL students visiting Scotch College in Perth.
In Perth, the students also went to tourist spots of cultural and educational values. BINUS SCHOOL Serpong students visited Perth Zoo, Aquarium of Western Australia, and Art Gallery of Western Australia. Students of course seemed to enjoy the visit to these tourist spots.
“Through this program, we hope the students may gain confidence and ability to adapt in a new environment. Not only that, the students also learn time management as well as being independent in learning outside of classroom,” said Ms. Sujatha as the coordinator of Perth Immersion.
Learning can be done anywhere and anytime, the immersion program is one of the ways to teach students to be independent and discipline even at their young age. The Immersion program also maintain BINUS SCHOOL Simprug students’ spirit in learning as well as teaching them to have a global mindset. See you at the next Immersion. (LN)
