Built Through Learning, Proven Through Achievement
Imagine standing in front of a panel of judges, defending an argument you had minutes to prepare, while your teammates count on you to get it right. No script, no do-overs—just you, your thinking, and your team. That’s the World Scholar’s Cup (WSC): an international academic competition where students go head-to-head across four categories: Debate, Collaborative Writing, Scholar’s Challenge, and Scholar’s Bowl. It rewards students who can think on their feet, argue with substance, and work as a team under real pressure.
Standing confidently in that room isn’t something students figure out on the spot. It’s built, class by class, by our educators, who don’t just deliver material but push students to question assumptions, weigh different perspectives, and back up their own ideas with reasoning. That’s the IB journey in action: not memorizing answers, but learning how to think. It’s teaching like this that we’re most proud of, not just because it gets students onto the stage, but because it’s what gets them to the top of it.
And they didn’t just show up. They stood out.
Achievement Across Every Stage

In the Junior Division, Darren landed 6th Place Overall Scholar at the Jakarta Juniors Round, along with a string of individual and team wins. Right beside him, Raphaella owned the Super Junior Category—5th Overall Scholar, Best Debater, a gold medal in Debate, and a spot in the Debate Showcase. In the Senior Division, Celine, Favor, Madison, Jamie, Soyul, and Sydney brought their A-game across Debate, Collaborative Writing, Scholar’s Bowl, and team events—proof that this strength runs across every level, not just one standout batch. But here’s the part we’re actually proudest of. When one of our Junior scholars was asked what they took away from it all, they didn’t just talk about the medals:
“Beyond the awards, I also feel like I gained so much from this competition—it taught me how to be more confident, ambitious, disciplined, and collaborative.”
More Than a Result
In the end, the greatest achievement is not measured only by the medals students bring home, but by the confidence, curiosity, and resilience they carry forward. Every accomplishment reflects a journey shaped by learning, growth, and the courage to take on new challenges. At BINUS SCHOOL Simprug, we believe every step of this journey matters. Through meaningful learning experiences and continuous guidance, students are empowered to think deeply, embrace challenges, and discover their potential. Because when students are allowed to grow, achievement becomes more than a result; it becomes a reflection of who they have become.
