MUN Hosted by BINUS SCHOOL Simprug

Last week, BINUS SCHOOL Simprug hosted its first-ever onsite Model United Nations Conference. We invited student leaders from selected schools to partake in the conference and bring together different perspectives to foster and empower our society to build and serve the nation by Bridging the Humanitarian Gap. 8 different schools from Indonesia and over 60 students participated in the conference and throughout the duration of this conference, delegates engaged with one another in debates and discussions and displayed their excellent critical thinking skills and honed their abilities to collaborate, communicate, and present. Specific topics from3 wide-ranging councils were discussed: United Nations Human Rights Council, World Health Organization, and International Court of Justice.
The event was a great experience and I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to each and every one of the delegates for striving to do the best they could and making this conference a successful one. This conference was especially exciting for our school as it marked when BINUS SCHOOL Simprug resumed its active involvement in MUN activities. I truly hope that BUZZ MUN will eventually become a prestigious annual event hosted by BINUS Simprug that schools all over Indonesia look forward to participating in. I would also like to especially thank the teachers at BINUS SCHOOL Simprug for not only giving me the opportunity to pioneer this conference but also for their endless support.
