Early Years & Elementary Library

At BINUS SCHOOL Simprug, we believe that a love for reading is one of the most valuable gifts we can offer to children. Our Early Years and Elementary Library is a purpose-built space designed to nurture literacy, imagination, and independent thinking from a young age. It serves not only as a resource centre but also as an inviting environment where children are encouraged to explore stories, discover new interests, and build confidence as readers and learners.
The library is thoughtfully curated with age-appropriate collections that support both the academic and emotional development of our students. From colourful picture books and beginner readers to early chapter books and non-fiction titles, every item has been selected to stimulate curiosity and meet a wide range of reading levels and interests. In addition to printed materials, our library also provides access to digital resources, interactive story apps, and educational platforms that cater to diverse learning preferences.
Designed with young learners in mind, the layout of the library features cosy reading nooks, flexible seating, and open shelves that allow children to explore independently in a safe and engaging manner. Weekly library sessions are integrated into the curriculum, during which students engage in storytelling, guided reading, and research-based learning. These sessions help children to develop not only reading fluency and comprehension but also critical inquiry skills.
Beyond books, our library fosters a strong sense of community and responsibility. Students learn how to care for shared resources, follow borrowing systems, and respect the reading experiences of others. Special programmes such as author visits, themed reading weeks, and student book reviews further enrich the reading culture and promote student voice.
By making reading a joyful and enriching experience, the Early Years and Elementary Library plays a vital role in supporting our students’ growth as confident communicators, critical thinkers, and compassionate individuals. We invite you to visit our campus and experience how our learning spaces, including our vibrant library, contribute to a holistic educational journey.
